    Malawi Emergency HR Plan

    HSI supported the Malawi Ministry of Health to develop a comprehensive human resource costing model and plan covering all civil service provider positions within the Malawi health sector. The plan included innovative strategies for retention, training, and recruitment of health service staff. The plan was adopted by the Government and formed the basis for successful mobilization of over $300 million in donor funding from DFID and the Global Fund. HSI was the technical lead for the Round 5 Health System Strengthening proposal that mobilized $80 million for human resources.     The Flagship Project is a five-year health sector reform project which supports the Palestinian health sector in increasing the quality of health services at hospitals and clinics--including emergency and rehabilitation services--and in improving good governance and management practices of health institutions.
