Jamaica Adolescent Healthy Lifestyles
This project funded by the USAID mission in Jamaica promotes improved adolescent reproductive health through a package of initiatives including expanded access to youth-friendly services, education, increased community support, and improved national polices and guidelines.

MACEPA
HSI is providing technical assistance to PATH and MACEPA in developing the Human Resource costing model and strategy planning guidebook for meeting the HR needs of Roll Back Malaria program activities.

Malawi Emergency HR Plan
HSI supported the Malawi Ministry of Health to develop a comprehensive human resource costing model and plan covering all civil service provider positions within the Malawi health sector. The plan included innovative strategies for retention, training, and recruitment of health service staff. The plan was adopted by the Government and formed the basis for successful mobilization of over $300 million in donor funding from DFID and the Global Fund. HSI was the technical lead for the Round 5 Health System Strengthening proposal that mobilized $80 million for human resources. Please click HERE to read about the long term benefits of the program.

Romanian Health Care Reform
The 18-month project, funded by USAID, was designed to assist Romania to reallocate resources to the primary health care (PHC) system and to strengthen and improve PHC services.

Health Sector Reform and Development
The Flagship Project is a five-year health sector reform project which supports the Palestinian health sector in increasing the quality of health services at hospitals and clinics--including emergency and rehabilitation services--and in improving good governance and management practices of health institutions.

Global Fund Applications
HSI has been the technical lead on several health system strengthening winning proposals including the Malawi Round 5 and the Ethiopia Round 8 applications. HSI provides ongoing training and technical assistance to countries seeking to prepare GF applications.
